Somalia ECTN Application Guide
Somalia requires a ECTN (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note) for all import shipments. The Somali Port Authority on behalf of the Ministry of Ports and Marine Transport of Somalia announced that as of Feb 1/2023 ECTNs are required for all Somali ports.
Required Documents
- Bill of Lading (BL)
- Commercial Invoice
- Freight Invoice
Important Notes
- The ECTN must be obtained by the shipper, the goods will not be loaded onto the vessel without an ECTN number.
- The ECTN number must be written on the bill of lading.
